TEST MODE
How to enter the test mode
While holding the FM and Preset 6 keys, reset the unit.
How to exit from the test mode
While holding the Preset 6 key, reset the unit. (Note) The test mode cannot be terminated by ACC OFF, power OFF or momentary power down.
Initial status in the test mode
# Sources : ALL OFF
# Display : All segments are lit.
# Volume : -10dB (displayed as “30”)
# Loudness : OFF
# CRSC : OFF regardless of the presence of switching function.
# SYSTEM Q : Flat
Special display in Tuner mode
When any of the following messages is displayed in Tuner mode, the F/E may be abnormal.
# “TNE2P NG” : The EEPROM is set to the default (unstable values) because the F/E was shipped without passing through the adjustment process, etc.
# “TNCON NG” : Communication with the F/E is not possible.
Forced switching of K3I
Each press of the Preset 6 key in Tuner mode should switch
K3I from AUTO > Forced Wide > Forced Middle > Forced
Narrow > AUTO.
The initial status is AUTO and the display shows these
modes as follows.
# AUTO : FMA
# Forced Wide : FMW
# Forced Middle : FMM
# Forced Narrow : FMN
Test mode specifications of the CD receiver
# Forced ejection is inhibited in the reset start operation. When the unit is reset while a CD is loaded in it, the CD is not recognized by resetting.
# Each press of the Track Up key jumps to the following track numbers:
No. 9 > No. 15 > No. 10 > No. 11 > No. 12 > No. 13 > No. 14 > No. 9 (The cycle restarts from here.)
# Each press of the Track Down key jumps to the previous track number to the track being played.
Audio-related specifications
# A short press of the Q key initiates the audio adjustment mode.
# Pressing the
key on the remote initiates the audio adjustment mode.
# Continuous holding of a remote control key is inhibited.
# Bass, Middle and Treble are adjusted in 3 steps of Min / Center / Max with the Track Up/Down keys.
# Balance is adjusted in 3 steps of Left Max / Center / Right Max with the Track Up/Down keys.
# Fader is adjusted in 3 steps of Rear Max / Center / Front Max with the Track Up/Down keys.
# HPF is adjusted in 2 steps of Through/220Hz with the Track Up/Down keys.
# LPF is adjusted in 2 steps of Through/120Hz with the Track Up/Down keys.
# Bass f, Bass Q, Bass EXT, Middle f, Middle Q and Treble f are not dealt with by the audio adjustment.
Menu-related specifications
# A short press of the CLK key initiates the Menu mode.
# Pressing the DNPP/SBF key on the remote initiates the Menu mode.
# Continuous holding of a remote control key is inhibited.
# Contrast is adjusted in 3 steps of 0/5/10 and the default is 5.
Backup current measurement
When the unit is reset while ACC is OFF (i.e. by turning Backup ON), the MUTE terminal goes OFF in 2 seconds in place of 15 second. (The panel and CD mechanism are not activated at this time.)
Security-related information Forced Power ON mode (All models)
Even when the security (Mask key) is approved, resetting the unit while holding the ATT and Preset 4 keys makes it possible to turn the power ON for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes have elapsed, it is not possible to return to the previous condition unless the unit is reset again.
Method of registration of the security code after EEPROM (Tuner Unit Ass’y) replacement (Code security model)
1) Enter the test mode. 
2) Press the CLK key to enter the security registration mode.
3) Enter the code using the Preset 1/2/3/4 keys. Example : To enter “3510”
# Press the Preset 1 key 4 times.
# Press the Preset 2 key 6 times.
# Press the Preset 3 key twice.
# Press the Preset 4 key once.
4) Hold down the DISP key for at least 3 seconds and the message, “RE-ENTER” appears, so once again enter the code according to Step 3) above.
5) Press and hold the DISP key for 3 seconds until “APPROVED” is displayed.
6) Exit from the test mode. 
(Note) All Clear is not applicable to the security code of this model.
Method of writing the Mask key while the EEPROM is in the initial status
1) Enter the test mode. 
2) Press the CLK key to enter the Mask key registration mode. “TRANSMIT1” should be displayed now. The display at this time should show “< >” in place of “ [ ] ”.
3) Point the Mask key remote toward the light sensor, and press and hold its key for more than 0.5 second.
4) When “TRANSMIT2” is displayed, press and hold the key on the Mask key remote for more than 0.5 second again. The first and second counter codes are not compared at this time.
5) When “APPROVED” is displayed, the write operation is complete. Now the demonstration mode is initiated and the test mode is terminated.
(Note) In the same way as previous models, if 30 minutes have elapsed with no code written, an error occurs and the power is turned OFF.
Method of initializing the Mask key (How to reset the unit from the Mask key approved condition to the factory condition)
1) Enter the test mode. 
2) “TRANSMIT1” is displayed and the Mask key entry request mode is initiated. The display at this time should show “** ” in place of “ [ ] ”.
3) Press and hold the key on the Master key remote for more than 3 seconds.
4) When “TRANSMIT2” is displayed, press and hold the key on the Master key remote for more than 3 seconds again.
5) When “APPROVED” is displayed, the Mask key is cleared, the demonstration mode is initiated, the test mode is terminated and the unit returns to the factory condition.
Method of clearing all Mask key-related data
1) Enter the test mode.
2) Press the CLK key to enter the Mask key registration mode. “TRANSMIT1” should be displayed now.
3) Point the Master key remote toward the light sensor, and press and hold its key for more than 3 seconds (until the level display shows the full condition).
4) When “TRANSMIT2” is displayed, press and hold the key on the Mask key remote for more than 3 seconds again. If “TRANSMIT1” is displayed in place of “TRANSMIT2”, restart the procedure from step 3).
5) When “APPROVED” is displayed, all security data is cleared and the unit returns to the condition before Mask key writing with the EEPROM in the initial status.

Connecting with a Smartphone by One touch (NFC)
By touching the control dial on the unit with an NFC compatible smartphone, the unit is paired and connected with the smartphone automatically.
 NFC (Near Field Communication) is a technology enabling short-range wireless communication between various devices, such as mobile phones and IC tags. Thanks to the NFC function, data communication can be achieved easily just by touching the relevant symbol or designated location on NFC compatible devices. For a smartphone with Android OS 4.0 or lower installed, downloading the app “NFC Easy Connect” available at Google Play is required. The app may not be downloadable in some countries/regions.
1. Activate the NFC function on the smartphone.
For details, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the smartphone.
2. Touch the N-Mark part of the unit with the N-Mark part of the smartphone.

Make sure that Bluetooth lights up on the display of the unit.
To disconnect by One touch
Touch the N-Mark part of the unit with the N-Mark part of the smartphone again.
Notes
When making the connection, handle the smartphone carefully to prevent scratches.  One touch connection is not possible when the unit is already connected to another NFC compatible device. In this case, disconnect the other device, and make connection with the smartphone again.
DESTINATION SETTING METHOD
When the complete MAIN board or IC502 on the MAIN board is replaced, the destination setting is necessary.
Destination Setting
Set destination according to the procedure below.
Setting the Destination Code
1. In the state of source off (the clock is displayed), enter the test mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [ RETURN] >  [MIC ] > [PAUSE ] (press only the [PAUSE ] button for two seconds).
2. In the state in which the software main version is displayed on the liquid crystal display (refer to following figure), enter the destination setting mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [ SEEK+] >[SEEK– ] > [PUSH ENTER/ VOICE].
(Displayed characters/values in the following figure are example)
3. Input the alphanumeric character of 12 digits of “F XXXXXX” displayed on the liquid crystal display, and execute the destination setting.

4. The resetting operation is executed by pressing the [ OFF SRC] button for 1 second after the setting ends, and the unit returns to the normal condition.
Entering the Destination Code
1. Rotate the control dial, and select the alphanumeric character of “0 to F”.
2. The digit advances by pressing the [PUSH ENTER/VOICE] or [ SEEK+] button. The digit returns by pressing the [ MODE] or [SEEK–] button.
3. The setting is completed by pressing the [PUSH ENTER/ VOICE] button, and the initialization operation is done.
Method of operation by remote commander
(Except AEP, UK and Australian models only)
Note: The model to which the remote commander is not attached can also be operated by using the remote commander.
1. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] button, and select the alphanumeric character of “0 to F”.
2. The digit advances by pressing the [RIGHT] button. The digit returns by pressing the [LEFT] button.
3. The setting is completed by pressing the [ENTER] button, and the initialization operation is done.
Confirmation After Destination Setting
Execute the following operation after completing the destination setting, and confirm a correct destination was set.
Destination setting checking method
1. In the state of source off (the clock is displayed on the liquid crystal display), enter the test mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [ RETURN] > [MIC ] > [PAUSE ] (press only the [PAUSE ] button for two seconds).
2. In the state in which the software main version is displayed on the liquid crystal display (refer to following figure), enter the destination setting value display mode by pressing the [ SCRL DSPL] button twice.

3. Confirm the alphanumeric character of 12 digits in liquid crystal display is a value correctly input.

4. The resetting operation is executed by pressing the [ OFF SRC] button for 1 second after the confirming ends, and the unit returns to the normal condition.
INITIALIZING
The purpose of “Bluetooth Initialize” is to initialize the Bluetooth connection history (HF/Audio Streaming). (To delete the device information for the devices that you connected to when searching, etc.)
When complete MAIN board is replaced, it is necessary to initialize this unit. Refer to the following, initialize this unit.
Note: Phonebook data and dialed/received call history can be deleted by executing “Bluetooth Initialize”.
Procedure:
1. In the state of source off (the clock is displayed), press the [MENU] button.
2. Rotate the control dial, and select the “SET BT”.
3. Press the [PUSH ENTER/VOICE] button.
4. Rotate the control dial, and select the “SET BT INIT”.
5. Press the [PUSH ENTER/VOICE] button, and the message
“SET INIT-NO” is displayed on the liquid crystal display.
6. Rotate the control dial clockwise, and the message “SET INITYES” is displayed on the liquid crystal display.
7. Press the [PUSH ENTER/VOICE] button, and the message
“INITIAL” is blinked on the liquid crystal display.
8. When “Bluetooth Initialize” is completed, the message “COMPLETE” is displayed on the liquid crystal display for a moment.
9. Press the [ MODE] button, and return to the state of source off (the clock is displayed) mode.
Bluetooth Audio Function Check
Note: Depending on the connecting BT Audio device, track information (e.g. track name, playback time) can be on display. If the device doesn’t support AVRCP1.3, or, if AVRCP1.3 feature of the device has not been validated with this unit; the track information won't be shown. Even if there is no track information on display during playback of an AVRCP1.3 device, it is not a failure of this unit.
1. Connect the Bluetooth audio device (or cellular phone with Bluetooth audio function) with this unit, and confirm the “Audio Streaming” icon lights.
2. Playback Bluetooth audio. Confirm the sound is emitted from this unit when this unit is switched to “BT AUDIO” source.
3. Confirm whether Bluetooth audio can be controlled by operating this unit (the [SEEK+], [SEEK– ] and [PAUSE ] buttons operation).
Note: Varies depending on the connected Bluetooth audio device.
Bluetooth Phone (Hands Free) Function Check
Note: Depending on the connecting device, Signal-strength/Battery-remaining indications might not be displayed. Or, depending on the connecting device, the levels of indications are shown incorrectly.
Even if you see no indications or wrong indications, they are not failures of this unit.
1. Search for this unit from the Bluetooth device (cellular phone), and confirm whether this unit (model name) is displayed.
2. Search for the distance of this unit and the Bluetooth device (cellular phone) about 5 m apart. Confirm whether the Bluetooth device (or this unit) is displayed after it searches.
3. Do the pairing of the cellular phone and this unit (input of passkey).
4. Connect the cellular phone with this unit, and confirm the “HF” icon  lights.
5. Confirm the connection continues even if the distance of the cellular phone and this unit is separated by about 5 m.
6. Set this unit besides the “BT PHONE” source, and call the cellular phone connected with this unit. Confirm the automatic change of this unit into “BT PHONE” source, and the change into the screen for incoming calls. Confirm the ring tone is heard from the front speaker.
7. Take a phone call (press the [CALL] button), and start a conversation. Confirm the other person voice is heard from the speaker.
Speak toward an external microphone at the following condition, and confirm the other party hears its voice (An external microphone is connected).
Compare the sound quality with a normal set. Confirm that there is no big difference.
8. Turn on ACC from off, and confirm whether this unit connects Bluetooth with the cellular phone again.
Note: Depending on the cellular phone, it might not reconnect automatically when ACC is turned on.

NOTE OF REPLACING THE COMPLETE MAIN BOARD OR SYSTEM CONTROLLER (IC101)
When the complete MAIN board or system controller (IC101) is replaced, the destination setting is necessary.
Destination Setting
Set destination according to the procedure below.
Setting the Destination Code
1. In the state of source off (the clock is displayed), enter the test mode by pressing the buttons on the remote commander in order of the [4] t [5] t [6] (press only the [6] button for two seconds).
2. In the state in which the system controller version is displayed on the liquid crystal display (refer to following figure), enter the destination setting mode by pressing the buttons on the main unit in order of the [SEEK+ ] > [SEEK– ] > [PUSH ENTER/SELECT]. (Displayed characters/values in the following figure are example)
3. Input the alphanumeric character of 8 digits of “F XXXXXX” displayed on the liquid crystal display, and execute the destination setting.
Note: Refer to following “1-3. Entering the Destination Code” for operation method.
4. The resetting operation is executed by pressing the [SOURCE OFF] button for 1 second after the setting ends, and the unit returns to the normal condition.

Destination Setting
Set destination according to the procedure below.
Setting the Destination Code
1. Set the demonstration mode OFF.
(Touch to select “Settings” > “Screen Settings” > “Demo” on the screen, and set the “OFF”.

2. Confirmation After Destination Setting
Execute the following operation after completing the destination setting, and confirm a correct destination was set.
Destination setting checking method:
1. In the state of source off (Home screen is displayed), enter the test mode by pressing the buttons on the remote commander in order of the [4] > [5] > [0] (press only the [0] button for two seconds).
2. The screen is displayed and confirm that item of the destination has been rewritten correctly.
FLICKER ADJUSTMENT
1. Turn the power on, and perform the aging more than five minutes.
2. In the state of source off (Home screen is displayed), pressing the buttons on the remote commander in order of the [4] >  [5] >  [4] (press only the [4] button for two seconds).
The test mode 4 starts, and the following screen is displayed on the monitor.

3. Press the [LEFT] button on the remote commander to set the “PAT_SEL:9”.
4. Press the [RIGHT] button on the remote commander to set the “SWAP:0”.
5. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] button on the remote commander to adjust so that the flicker becomes minimum in the sight.
(There is a point most suitable in the range of VCOM:045 to VCOM:090)
The relation between the flicker and the adjustment value has the characteristic such as the following figure.

6. Press the [PUSH SOURCE/ OFF] button on the main unit, and turn the power off.

NOTE THE MAIN BOARD OR SYSTEM CONTROLLER (IC502) REPLACING
When the complete MAIN board or system controller (IC502) is replaced, the destination setting is necessary.
Note: Remote commander is necessary.
1. Preparing the Destination Setting
Be sure to solder the SL501 on the MAIN board before doing the destination setting.

Set destination according to the procedure below.
2-1. Setting the Destination Code
1. In the state of source off (Home screen is displayed), enter the destination setting mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [4] > [5] > [6] on the remote commander (press only the [6] button for two seconds).
2. The following screen is displayed and the destination setting mode becomes effective.

Note: Refer to following “Destination Code” for operation method.

3. The resetting operation is executed by pressing the [OFF] button on the remote commander the setting ends, and the unit returns to the normal condition.
2-2. Entering the Destination Code
Note: Input of the destination code cannot be performed by the keys of main unit. Be sure to input the destination code by remote commander.
Note: The ten key cannot be used.
1. Press the [ UP] or [  DOWN ] button, and select the alphanumeric character of “0 to F”.
2. The digit advances by pressing the [ RIGHT ] button.

3. Confirmation After Destination Setting
Execute the following operation after completing the destination setting, and confirm a correct destination was set.

3. The resetting operation is executed by pressing the [OFF] button on the remote commander the confirming ends, and the unit returns to the normal condition.
4. Processing After the Destination Setting
Be sure to unsolder the SL501 on the MAIN board after doing the destination setting.
NOTE FOR FLEXIBLE BOARD OF THE OPTICAL PICK-UP
When connecting or disconnecting the flexible board of the optical pick-up to or from the CN2 of the SERVO board, follow the procedure given below.

Note: When soldering the short lands, solder within 5 seconds at the temperature of soldering iron below 300°C.
Disconnection:
1. Solder two shortland.
2. Disconnect the flexible board from the CN2 of the SERVO board.
Connection:
1. Connect the flexible board to the CN2 of the SERVO board.
2. Unsolder two shortland.
CLEANING THE CONNECTORS
The unit may not function properly if the connectors between the unit and the front panel are not clean. In order to prevent this, detach the front panel and clean the connectors with a cotton swab. Do not apply too much force. Otherwise, the connectors may be damaged.

Notes
For safety, turn off the ignition before cleaning the connectors, and remove the key from the ignition switch.
Never touch the connectors directly with your fingers or with any metal device.
ADJUSTMENTS
MONITOR SECTION
If any of the following parts was replaced, execute the “Flicker Adjustment” as mentioned below.
# Liquid crystal display panel (LCD1)
# Complete DISPLAY board
Preparation:
# Remote commander
# Input signal for AUX2 IN jack (NTSC and PAL white 40% raster)
FLICKER ADJUSTMENT
1. Input the NTSC white 40% raster signal from AUX2 IN jack on the rear side of main unit.
2. In the state of source off (Home screen is displayed), pressing the buttons in order of the [4] >  [5] > [7] (press only the [7] button for two seconds) button on the remote commander.
3. Press the [1] button on the remote commander, change to the NTSC adjustment screen.
Note 1: The display of the adjustment screen disappears, when there is no operation of a remote commander for five seconds. Please touch a screen, in order to issue the adjustment display again.
The minimum value of NTSC adjustment value is displayed.
The adjustable range is from “3e90140” to “3e90310” (Hexadecimal).
4. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] buttons on the remote commander, adjust so that the flicker becomes minimum.
5. Input the PAL white 40% raster signal from AUX2 IN jack on the rear side of main unit.
6. Press the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] buttons on the remote commander, change to the PAL adjustment screen.
The minimum value of PAL adjustment value is displayed.
The adjustable range is from “4b00140” to “4b00310” (Hexadecimal).
7. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] buttons on the remote commander, adjust so that the flicker becomes minimum.
8. When the adjustment of both NTSC and PAL finished, press the [ENTER] button on the remote commander. The message “Data saved successfully” appears on the screen.
(Display values in the following figure are example)
Note 2: When only one of the two of NTSC or PAL adjusted and saves, the NTSC or PAL which is not adjusted is saved by the minimum value of an adjustable range.
Releasing method:
Press the [OFF] button on the remote commander.

NOTE THE MAIN BOARD OR SYSTEM CONTROLLER (IC501) REPLACING
When the MAIN board or system controller (IC501) is replaced, the destination setting is necessary.
Prior Setting
It is necessary to set with the remote commander so that it can operate by the main unit.
Setting method:
1. In the state of power on, press the buttons in order of the [4] > [5] > [6] on the remote commander (press only the [6] button for two seconds).
2. Press the buttons in order of the [ > ] - [ < ] - [ENTER] on the remote commander.
3. Press the buttons in order of the [ENTER] (four times) - [Down] - [ENTER] (two times) on the remote commander.
4. Setting is completed, and the unit returns to the state of source off (the clock is displayed on the liquid crystal display).
Destination Setting
Set destination according to the procedure below.
Setting the Destination Code
1. In the state of source off (the clock is displayed), enter the test mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [ 4] - [MIC/ ZAP 5] - [PAUSE 6] (press only the [PAUSE 6] button for two seconds).
2. In the state in which the system controller version is displayed on the liquid crystal display , enter the destination setting mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [Forward  > SEEK+] -  [SEEK–  rewind ] - [PUSH ENTER/MENU/ APP]. (Displayed characters/values in the following figure are example).
3. Input the alphanumeric character of 12 digits of “F XXXXXX” displayed on the liquid crystal display, and execute the destination setting.
Note: Refer to following “2-3. Entering the Destination Code” for operation method.
4. The resetting operation is executed by pressing the [SOURCE OFF] button for 1 second after the setting ends, and the unit returns to the normal condition.

3. The setting is completed by pressing the [PUSH ENTER/ MENU/ APP] button, and the initialization operation is done.
Method of operation by remote commander
1. Press the [ UP] or [ DOWN] button, and select the alphanumeric character of “0 to F”.
2. The digit advances by pressing the [ RIGHT ] button. The digit returns by pressing the [ LEFT ] button.
3. The setting is completed by pressing the [ENTER] button, and the initialization operation is done.
Confirmation After Destination Setting
Execute the following operation after completing the destination setting, and confirm a correct destination was set.
Destination setting checking method:
1. In the state of source off (the clock is displayed on the liquid crystal display), enter the test mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [ 4] - [MIC/ZAP 5] - [PAUSE 6] (press only the [PAUSE 6] button for two seconds).
2. In the state in which the system controller version is displayed on the liquid crystal display (refer to following figure), enter the destination setting value display mode by pressing the [DSPL SCRL] button three times. (Displayed characters/values in the following figure are example)
3. Confirm the alphanumeric character of 12 digits in liquid crystal display is an value correctly input. (Displayed characters/values in the following figure are example)
4. The resetting operation is executed by pressing the [SOURCE OFF] button for 1 second after the confirming ends, and the unit returns to the normal condition.

operation and checks it.

NOTE FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE BT BOARD
When repairing, the complete BT board should be replaced since any parts in the BT board cannot be repaired.
NOTE FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE SERVO BOARD
When repairing, the complete SERVO board should be replaced since any parts in the SERVO board cannot be repaired.
NOTE FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE SENSOR BOARD
When the SENSOR board is defective, exchange the MECHANICAL BLOCK ASSY.
IMPORTANT NOTE OF “INITIALIZING”
The purpose of “Bluetooth Initialize” is to initialize the Bluetooth connection history (HF/Audio Streaming). (To delete the device information for the devices that you connected to when searching, etc.)
When the complete BT board or complete MAIN board (including BT board) are replaced, it is necessary to initialize this unit.
Note: Phonebook data and dialed/received call history can be deleted by executing “Reset.”
Initializing Bluetooth Settings
You can initialize all the Bluetooth related settings (pairing information, preset number, device information, etc.) from this unit.
1 Press and hold SOURCE/OFF for 1 second to turn off the power.
2 Press MENU , rotate the control dial until "BT" appears, then press it. The menu list appears.
3 Rotate the control dial to select “BT INIT,” then press it. The confirmation appears.
4 Rotate the control dial to select “INITYES,” then press it. “INITIAL” flashes while initializing the Bluetooth settings; “COMPLETE” appears when initializing has finished.
5 Press (BACK) to return to the previous display.
Note
When disposing of this unit, preset numbers should be deleted with “BT INIT.”
NOTE ON CONNECTION
If speaker and amplifier are not connected correctly, “FAILURE” appears in the display. In this case, make sure the speaker and amplifier are connected correctly.
CANCELLING THE DEMO MODE
You can cancel the demonstration display which appears while this unit is turned off.
1 Press MENU , rotate the control dial until “DISPLAY” appears, then press it.
2 Rotate the control dial until “DEMO” appears, then press it.
3 Rotate the control dial to select “DEMO-OFF,” then press it. The setting is complete.
4 Press (BACK) to return to the previous display.
The display returns to normal reception/ play mode.
BLUETOOTH FUNCTION CHECKING METHOD USING A CELLULAR PHONE
Required Equipment
# Set to be tested (WX-GT90BT/GT90BTE/GT99BT), external microphone of attachment
# Cellular phone (Recommended SEMC W880 or W910i, or select from connectable cellular phones list)
# Bluetooth audio devices (SONY NWZ-A826, or select from connectable cellular phones/audio devices list)
# Speaker connection (at least Front L/R ch)
# DC power supply (12 V)
Preparation
# Confirm the setting of the WX-GT90BT/GT90BTE/GT99BT, and note down it.
# Press the [CALL] button and rotate the control dial until “SET PAIRING” appears, then press it, confirm that the Bluetooth signal icon  is flashing.
# Turn on the Bluetooth function of the cellular phone.
Test Environment
# No other Bluetooth device is making a communication in the periphery (within 20 m).
# No other WX-GT90BT/GT90BTE/GT99BT are supplied with electric power.
# There are no two or more wireless LAN access points in the periphery (with 50 m) (one is OK).
# The set should be tested in a place such as a meeting room, free from ambient noise.
# The speaker at the far end should be in a place such as another meeting room separated acoustically.

Install the WX-GT90BT/GT90BTE/GT99BT on the desktop

5. Precautions
Beware of the following points when conducting the talking test:
# There is no fault if a talking can be made by adjusting appropriately the volume of the telephone of the other party and the cellular phone connected through the Bluetooth, besides the setup of WX-GT90BT/GT90BTE/GT99BT.
# The speaker’s voice will become loud naturally if the periphery is noisy, or become low if quiet (even though the speaker intents to talk on the same volume level).
# The speaker’s voice will become loud naturally if the other party’s voice is loud.
Bluetooth Phone (Hands Free) Function Check
Note 1: Depending on the connecting device, Signal-strength/Batteryremaining indications might not be displayed. Or, depending on the connecting device, the levels of indications are shown incorrectly. Even if you see no indications or wrong indications, they are not failures of WX-GT90BT/GT90BTE/GT99BT.
1. Search for this unit from the Bluetooth device (cellular phone), and confirm whether this unit (“Sony Automotive”) is displayed.
2. Search for the distance of this unit and the Bluetooth device (cellular phone) about 5 m apart. Confirm whether the Bluetooth device (or this unit) is displayed after it searches.
3. Do the pairing of the cellular phone and this unit (input of passkey).
4. Connect the cellular phone with this unit, and confirm the “HF” icon lights.
5. Confirm the connection continues even if the distance of the cellular phone and this unit is separated by about 5 m.
6. Set this unit besides the “BT PHONE” source, and call the cellular phone connected with this unit. Confirm the automatic change of this unit into “BT PHONE” source, and the change into the screen for incoming calls. Confirm the ring tone is heard from the front speaker.
7. Take a phone call (press the [CALL ] button), and start a conversation.
Confirm the other person voice is heard from the speaker. Speak toward an external microphone at the following condition, and confirm the other party hears its voice (An external microphone is connected). Compare the sound quality with a normal set. Confirm that there is no big difference.
8. Turn on ACC from off, and confirm whether this set connects Bluetooth with the cellular phone again. Note 2: Depending on the cellular phone, it might not reconnect automatically.
Bluetooth Audio Function Check
Note 1: Depending on the connecting BT Audio device, track information (e.g. track name, playback time) can be on display.
If the device doesn’t support AVRCP1.3, or, if AVRCP1.3 feature of the device has not been validated with WX-GT90BT/GT- 90BTE/GT99BT, the track information won’t be shown.
Even if there is no track information on display during playback of an AVRCP1.3 device, it is not a failure of WX-GT90BT/GT- 90BTE/GT99BT.
1. Connect the Bluetooth audio device (or cellular phone with Bluetooth audio function) with this unit, and confirm the “Audio Streaming” icon  lights.
2. Playback Bluetooth audio. Confirm the sound is emitted from this unit when this unit is switched to “Bluetooth Audio” source.
3. Confirm whether Bluetooth audio can be controlled by operating this unit (the [SEEK+ Forward ], [Rewind   SEEK–] and [PAUSE 6] buttons operation).
Note 2: Varies depending on the connected Bluetooth audio device.
What to Do after Checking
# After checking, select “BT INIT” from the menu list of this unit to execute initialization. (Connected device information is deleted)
