DISASSEMBLING PROCEDURE
How to remove Top cover
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
Remove the top cover:
1. Position the computer upside-down.
2. Pry the two rear rubber feet oƫ the bottom cover (1).
3. Pry the screw cover of the bottom cover (2).
Rubber feet and rubber screw cover are available in the Rubber Kit, spare part numbers:
Silver HP Pavilion x360 models: 809550-001
Red HP Pavilion x360 models: 809551-001
Green HP Pavilion x360 models: 809552-001
Purple HP Pavilion x360 models: 816522-001
Silver HP x360 310 G2 models: 824141-001
4. Remove the nine Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screws (3) that secure the top cover to the computer.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
Remove the top cover:
1. Position the computer upside-down.
2. Pry the two rear rubber feet oƫ the bottom cover (1).
3. Pry the screw cover of the bottom cover (2).
Rubber feet and rubber screw cover are available in the Rubber Kit, spare part numbers:
Silver HP Pavilion x360 models: 809550-001
Red HP Pavilion x360 models: 809551-001
Green HP Pavilion x360 models: 809552-001
Purple HP Pavilion x360 models: 816522-001
Silver HP x360 310 G2 models: 824141-001
4. Remove the nine Phillips PM2.5×6.0 screws (3) that secure the top cover to the computer.
5. Position the computer upright, and then open the computer as far as possible.
6. Run a plastic, non-marking tool around the seam to disengage the top cover from the computer.
Separate the top cover from the computer by separating and lifting up at the seam on the left side (1), top (2), and right side (3), far enough to access the keyboard and touchpad connectors on the system board.

7. Disconnect the touchpad cable (1) and the keyboard cable (2) from the system board, and then remove the top cover from the computer (3).
How to remove TouchPad
Before removing the TouchPad, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover
5. Remove the battery
Remove the TouchPad:
1. Position the top cover upside down.
2. Remove the six broadhead Phillips PM2.0×2.0 screws (1) that secure the touchpad and the bracket.
3. Lift the bracket oƫ the top cover (2).
4. Lift the touchpad oƫ the computer (3).

2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.

Remove the TouchPad:
1. Position the top cover upside down.

How to remove Hard drive
Before removing the hard drive, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the top cover
5. Disconnect the battery.

1. Disconnect the hard drive connector cable (1) from the system board.
2. Lift the hard drive out of the computer (2).
How to remove Solid-state drive (M.2)
Before removing the solid-state drive, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the bottom cover
5. Disconnect the battery.
